A children's book about a part of our Ethiopian adoption journey: A Room With Footprints.
The book was inspired by our journey to adopt our son and daughter from Ethiopia. As we prepared a room for them I was inspired to write a letter to our future children about the goings on in their room and all the people who are waiting to meet them and give them their love. The letter then inspired this book. My husband Josiah & I are still patiently waiting to meet our son and daughter.
I love doing what the Lord inspires me to do! In this case He inspired me to write a letter to my children that turned into a book that our family will cherish forever. I love to write! I love being a part of what God is doing to bring hope to people who truly need hope. I also LOVE children's books! I always have wanted to write one of my very own. The cool thing is, when I wasn't even trying to write one God gave me one to write! The best part of children's books is when we get to read them to the little ones who listen in excited wonder. That is the real gift of children's books and in the case of A Room With Footprints I hope many children in Ethiopia will be able to enjoy reading many fun and exciting books in their classrooms!
I hope that God will keep holding on to this book with the joy of its story and inspire others to purchase the book and perhaps create their very own Creatribution™. I hope that the families that purchase this book will get joy out of the story it tells and enjoy it with their little ones. May many children in Ethiopia enjoy learning to read and get to read many fun and exciting books in their classrooms!
