In a society overpopulated with blogs and status updates, it’s hard to get a message across. To communicate something important, people need to be captured, entranced, tantalized and drawn in.
That’s where you and your mad design skills come in.
What is submiT?
submiT is about bringing people with vision together to create something that will cut through the cultural noise like a knife.
Our voice will be your designs. Shirts will be our medium.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for designers (that’s you, soldier) to create designs to communicate a message of hope. A design that captures the message:
EDUCATION is a RIGHT and KNOWLEDGE creates a COUNTRY.
submiT is about raising awareness of childhood education in Ethiopia through the work of imagine1day. Their goal is to have education available for every Ethiopian funded free of foreign aid by 2030.

Hey everyone!
The next freeFLOW is right around the corner on Tuesday, May 11th and there's so many incredible things happening!
This past month, we've seen:
Jen, Graham, Sapna, Steve, Adam, Kat and Courtney's dish'ED dinner night came to life inspiring 30 guests and raising over $3,000! Check out photos from their event: http://www.flickr.com/photos/imagine1day/sets/72157623791926579/
Ella Batten's "OneNight for 1Day" that happened on May4th was an amazing success! Her event drew over 200 people and raised $4,000 for one of our schools projects in Ethiopia. Check out this article by the North Shore News: http://www.bclocalnews.com/greater_vancouver/northshoreoutlook/entertainment/92340714.html
Both of these creatributions were born out of a freeFLOW and we'd love to see you at the next one to explore what YOU could possibly create!
On top of that, there are amazing creatributions that are in the works that need YOUR help to make them incredible:
Lacey's submiT: http://www.submitadesign.com/
Larissa's Tribal Beach Run: http://www.tribalbeachrun.com/
and many more!
There's a million ways to impact the world, we just need to choose one.

Join imagine1day and celebrate International Children's Day by helping children in Ethiopia go to school. Help set Ethiopia onto the path of greatness through education.

The freeFLOW that just happened a week ago was incredible! We're really building momentum this year to reach our goal of building one school for Ethiopia within one year.
Here's an update from this past freeFLOW. We'd love to see you at the next one. Bring your friends and let's have a blast!
Billie Murphy - She is an avid foodie and food blog follower. Her creatribution is a recipe cookbook compiled from influential food blogger...s and chefs from reputable restaurants here in Vancouver! She is just starting off and could use support in printing, graphic design, publishing sources, connections to chefs/restaurants in Vancouver and general support in approaching organizations/companies for support. Email her at billiemurphy73@hotmail.com
Emma Ferguson - Emma's creatribution is to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro for imagine1day in 2012! She is in the early stages of formulating what this could look like, but she is going to get the ball rolling with her connection with lululemon's ambassadors. She's going to take back all the great ideas that was given by other people at the most recent freeFLOW and start cooking up ways to make it happen. Email her at emma_ks_ferguson@hotmail.com and maybe you can help her make this happen!
Lacey Norton - Lacey's creatribution (submiT) is underway and needs support by spreading the word to artists in Vancouver to submit a design (http://www.submitadesign.com/). If you know of any artists out there (from any circle, graphic design, illustration, print, painters, graffiti artists, etc) let them know about the contest and tell them to submit! The deadline is May 30th with a kick-ass party on July 9th where the winner from the top 5 voted designed will be chosen by a panel of reputable Vancouverites and 400 limited edition T's will be printed with the winning design with 100 percent of the proceeds going to an i1d school. You can even submit a design yourself!
Sarah MacDougall - Sarah is from Toronto and she is doing a creatribution called Beadiopia, which is aiming to unite a community to chain together the longest bead chain ever put together. Guinness Book of World Records has officially given the greenlight to attempt to break the record and the goal is to raise $10,000 for imagine1day! If you know of people in or around the Toronto area who would like to support Sarah in her creatribution, email her at sarahmac@donorworx.com
Adam Millard - Adam, our fearless freeFLOW facilitator, is doing a creatribution on goal and vision coaching. His goal is to do 7 workshops in or around Vancouver for 70-80 people at each workshop to raise $10,000+ for i1d's schools! He needs support in managing the project so if you're wanting to get involved in a creatribution that is all about inspiring people to create visions for themselves for big things, than contact adam at amillard@lululemon.com
Lastly, Ella Batten was there to share her creatribution that happened on May 7th in West Vancouver. Her creatribution, OneNight for 1Day featuring artists and performers from all genres, attracted over 200 people and raised a few thousand dollars to boot! She's been all over the news and you can check out an article about her creatribution here: http://www.bclocalnews.com/greater_vancouver/northshoreoutlook/entertainment/92340714.html
With all these amazing creatributions happening, it really looks like our 1 school, 1 year goal for the freeFLOW community is totally possible.
You all are awesome. Remember, there's a million ways to change the world, we just need to choose one...
the imagine1day team
