dish’ED, a special CreatributionTM that brings together passionate food and wine lovers, comes together again in another inspired space for dining, conversation, and laughter.

On February 26th, 2011, dish’ED will surface for one night only at Vancouver’s classic Docker’s Diner. Featuring a set menu by culinary enthusiasts (and Creatributors) Graham MacLennan, Lauren Lobley and their team of cooking talent, dish’ED once again promises absolute satisfaction and fun.

Proceeds from dish’ED will support imagine1day’s Maego Community School project in Ethiopia.

 From September 23rd to October 8th, 2010, 17 participants from Canada, the United States and Australia embarked on an epic journey to see Ethiopia and visit the schools of imagine1day.

This group of individuals also raised $100,000 to build a school for one of imagine1day's communities called Laelay Wukro in Northern Ethiopia.

This is a special night for you to experience their journey.

$10,000 to fund an entire classroom for the Tsabat Grade 5-8 Primary
School in Northern Ethiopia. The FUNd-raising race is on!

A showcase of five entrepreneurs and leaders recounting their stories of bumps in the road, “aha!” moments, down and dirty failures, fears faced and choices grabbed by the throat. The moments where life handed them a sack of lemons and instead of puckering, they persevered.

Speakers like Terry McBride, CEO of Nettwerk Music Group and creator of YYoga will talk about “losing sight of the big picture and more, and what it took to get it back.” While Patrice Pratt, Chair, Vancity Board of Directors will chronicle her life “from the convent, to the sit-in, to the boardroom.”

We're seeking to demystify "success" and raise money for an organization that we totally dig. SHIFTED is a CreatributionTM: a fundraising project that leverages our passions and unique talents so that we may contribute to imagine1day in our own distinct way. imagine1day directs 100% of its revenues to their educational efforts on the ground in Ethiopia. The ultimate goal is quality education for all Ethiopians funded free of foreign aid by 2030.
