Sofa Sessions is a series of intimate musical performances that brings artists into homes, music to communities, and education to Africa! It is a unique opportunity for artists and music lovers to intersect as socially engaged people to create an amazing musical experience and support what should be a basic human right – education!

ALL proceeds go towards putting children in school in Ethiopia via imagine1day!

CAROLYN MARK has been making music and touring since the mid-'90's. This prolific songstress has six albums with Vancouver’s Mint records and has shared the stage with many talented musicians including Neko Case with whom she used to be in a band called the Corn Sisters but her dear friend Willie Nelson taught her never to name drop.

HILARY GRIST is an art-pop-torch-folk songstress and is on a musical roll! She ended 2011 by placing 4th and winning $15K in the 2011 Peak Performance Project. Her third and most recent album, Imaginings, has earned generous praise and sees her commanding alto travel seamlessly from captivating wonder to driving indie pop to carefree dixieland romp.
