This project immediately increased the learning capacity of 2,847 boys and 2,732 girls, ages 7 to 14.

goal:

With your investment each student and every teacher in 13 targeted schools now have a desk top to write on and a seat to call their own and classrooms have shelving for books and storage.

how dollars were spent:

Desks, chairs, bookshelves and teaching tables were purchased to support and accelerate the educational initiatives of 13 primary schools in the Hintalo Wejirat district of northern Ethiopia. Previously, the children attending these schools sat on dirt floors in crowded classrooms, restricting them from focusing and fully participating in their school day.

Furniture was delivered to the schools from February 1, 2008 to April 30, 2008.
