Daniel received his Diploma in Banking and Finance from Addis Ababa University and was quickly scooped up by the World Bank where he worked and was promoted within several of their key offices. In his six years with the World Bank Daniel worked in an accounting and budgetary capacity with the Productive Safety Nets Program, the Sustainable Utilization of Natural Resources Office and the Finance and Economic Development Office. Today, Daniel is putting that experience to work for imagine1day as the Regional Office's Finance and Administration Officer. With a natural aptitude for program activities and an equally strong work ethic, Daniel has jumped with both feet into all aspects of imagine1day implementation in the field. From keeping the office transparent and efficient to planting trees in villages and facilitating training, Daniel skillfully supports every aspect of imagine1day's activities in Tigray.
Even with his busy schedule Daniel finds time to continually augment his skills. In his spare time he is studying towards both his law and accounting degree. For Daniel, education is the key to both personal development and the development of his country. With a mandate to work in remote and underserved areas, imagine1day relies upon the skills of one key team member to safely assist the active field team. A stalwart driver, talented mechanic and a reliable messenger, Yohannes is one of the hardest working members of the field team. But Yohannes doesn't rest when the driving is done; he is the first to be planting a tree, lending a hand with construction or snapping a picture to document a program.
Four years of studying with Moenco Automotive has garnered Yohannes a Mechanic Certificate and he continues to study in his spare time towards his Diploma. Yohannes also worked for Professional Garage for two years and was employed as a Driver and Mechanic for Norilla Construction. Yohannes is now excited to be working with an international organization that not only expands his experience but is working towards developing the region he calls home. When he is not on the road he spends time with his mother and many sisters and brothers whom he supports.
