With funding and support from the Lundin for Africa Foundation imagine1day will further its objective to see that all of the communities that it works with will have the financial and human capacity to support themselves when our work together ends. A critical step in creating sustainable projects is to address water scarcity and to design water points that serve both human consumption as well as income generation activities. As part of this project imagine1day will construct eleven water points, train 30 Parent Teacher Associations, create 20 community gardens, plant 40,000 trees, supply hand tools to 20 communities and train 60 teachers to teach life skills such as health, hygiene and agriculture.
start date: January 2010 end date: April 2010

Help imagine1day create a generation of future leaders in the community of Atsemba. Perched atop a remote Ethiopian mountain is a village of 3,200 inhabitants. Though over half of the village's population are children, and despite the community's commitment to education, Atsemba does not currently have a school. Together with imagine1day you can change that. With your investment imagine1day will build a fully furnished, four room stone and concrete school with an eight stall latrine to accommodate 400 Grade 1-4 students. The school you support will improve the health, environmental sustainability and long term economic viability of an entire community through the provision of books, teacher training, sports equipment, tree seedlings, agriculture tools and more. Imagine the possibilities.
