On May 31st, Rachel Moxham left Vancouver, British Columbia on a bike to begin her solo 5,879km journey across Canada to raise support and funding for girls' education in Ethiopia. Rachel has set a goal to raise $25,000 by August 14th when she completes her ride in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Rachel's journey is an imagine1day CREATRIBUTION that combines her passion for discovering one's own potential with her desire to support girls around the world in their quest for equality freedom and joy. When asked why she chose to ride across the nation on a bike for girls' education in Ethiopia, Rachel's answer was simple: "This is a chance for me to contribute to a cause which I feel is crucially important, but also a chance for me to prove my own potential to myself which I love doing."
Since leaving Canada's Pacific Coast, Rachel has travelled 1,836km to reach Winnipeg, with her next major stop being Thunder Bay, Ontario. Check out the map below to see some of her main stopping points that she has reached so far.
With another 4,043km to go, Rachel will wind through Ontario for most of July. Along the way, she will continue to be an inspiration to those who hear her story and to the people she meets along the way as she cycles across Canada. Check out the map below to see what the rest of her trip will look like.
