Mobilizing - Planting - Maintaining

A Story About Sustainability
In the rural villages of Ethiopia, survival of each school built, each tree planted, and each student’s education is paramount. It is dependent on mobilizing communities to take ownership of every spark of development, and empowering them with the skills and training to steward every new possibility into the future.
Which is why, in 11 communities in Hintalo Weijirat, Parent Teacher Associations are learning about leadership, financial management, project sustainability and income generation that will support them in ensuring the future of their schools. It is why entire villages helped to plant 16,000 fruit and shade seedlings that will provide food, income and the promise of education for generations of children to come.
Goals
- Support communities in the district of Hintalo Wejirat to sustain the education of 4,418 children into the future.
