Over 40 designs were submitted and a panel of judges from the design, fashion and art industries in Vancouver selected Susan Mavor's "only the eduated are free". 100% of the proceeds (net of $10 shipping) from t-shirt sales will fund imagine1day's education projects and help send children in Ethiopia to school.

About the artist and her design...
I've been designing in Vancouver for over 15 years, working on various projects, big and small. More recently, most interested in trying to understand where good design fits in best, now that print is dead, and in being somebody's mom. I'd be nowhere without some of the great teachers I've had over the years and I truly believe that, as the philosopher Epictetus said, "only the educated are free." The bird is modelled on the Ethiopian sparrow, which is, I understand, a fairly common and colourful little bird.

submiT is about elevating artists in North America and children in Ethiopia. submiT is about bringing people with vision together to create something that will cut through the cultural noise like a knife.
